• My name is Jessica Mills. Hello!

Why should you give a crap? 'Cause I do cool stuff.

I'm hard to quantify. I'm an actress, writer, producer, transmedia enthusiast, web series creator, blogger, social media obsessive, observational humorist, and feminist ranter.

  • Official Bio (should you need one)

Jessica Mills is an actress, writer and producer.  She grew up in rural west Texas, and has lived in London, New York City, and Los Angeles. She is the award winning creator/producer of the hit web series Awkward Embraces and is a lover of all things geek and New Media.  Jessica is currently in development on three new web series that she will write, produce and appear in. Jessica has written geek editorials and interviews for CBS Interactive at Tech Republic and the League of Extraordinary Ladies.  She has also spoken on panels at Geek Girl Con, Wonder Con, CES, and Comikaze Expo.  She recently co-created UComics with acclaimed artist Len Peralta, and is working with Gamewick Productions co-creating educational app/tablet video adventure games.  When not exploring the internets or obsessing over Doctor Who, Jessica is wandering the earth with her three-legged dog Lisa looking for inspiration.

My good friend Alan Kistler and I are raising funds for our Ginormously Exciting EBook Kaper! (Mission: G.E.E.K.)

Currently, I’m most known for Awkward Embraces, which the New York Times called “Charming, sharply written”.

Love comics? Check out UComics, a project I do with acclaimed artist Len Peralta.

I am a writer for hire! Check out my writing works (linked above) and my blog.

I’m a proud Texan American, though I seem incapable of settling down anywhere.  My BFFs are a three-legged dog and a fat fluffy cat.

My dog adopted the cat. I had no choice in the matter. Totally not sorry.

Follow me on Twitter or Tumblr (or both) for lots of geekery, observations on life and news updates.  If you want to know more about me, visit my interview page. I do lots of podcasts and written interviews. I’m a bit of a slut for them actually. Invite me on your show and I’ll most likely do it!
