What builds The Guild? Is web content replacing television or supplementing it? Webseries creators from Geeks and Gamers Anonymous (Alex Langley, Katrina Hill, Marko Head), The Variants (Richard Neal, Ken Lowery), and Awkward Embraces (Jessica Mills) gather to discuss the creative process from inception through casting, fundraising, production, and promotion of original programming in the age of YouTube. Hi there! Most of you know I’m co-producing Season 2 of Damsels and Dragons. We’re currently fundraising on Indiegogo (help us out if you can!).

While we’re working on locking down the script and fundraising, I’d like to hear your funny LARP and RPG stories. The ones we love the best, we’ll share with the world on the internets. NAMES WILL BE CHANGED! Unless you want us to tell everyone it’s yours. It’s totally up to you. If you ask for a fake name, I’ll give you something like “Draco Malfoy from Raxacoricofallapatorius”.

What I’d like to do, is get together with America Young and a few other cast members and tell the stories on video. What do you guys think? Up for it?

Loyola Marymount University

I’ve been asked to speak at the Loyola Marymount University “Focus: Behind the Scenes with Women Filmmakers,” in March! I’m so thrilled and excited to be a part of this. The event is organized by the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television Women’s Society.

The Society’s mission is:

To build a strong community of women within the School of Film and Television
To inspire participation and ambition within its members and to create opportunities to act on that ambition
To learn from those who have already made their way through networking and events with professional filmmakers

I am very excited to share my experiences with young women filmmakers.

I’m on the Geek Girls Create panel! 5pm – 6:30pm in Room 207
