I’ve been asked to speak at the Loyola Marymount University “Focus: Behind the Scenes with Women Filmmakers,” in March!  I’m so thrilled and excited to be a part of this.  The event is organized by the Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television Women’s Society.

The Society’s mission is:

• To build a strong community of women within the School of Film and Television
• To inspire participation and ambition within its members and to create opportunities to act on that ambition
• To learn from those who have already made their way through networking and events with professional filmmakers

I am very excited to share my experiences with young women filmmakers.

Women who took their love of the geek life and turned it into a career. Leah Cevoli (Robot Chicken, Jedi Camp), Kristen Nedopak (Fight Class, Think Hero TV), Jessica Mills (Awkward Embraces), Stephanie Thorpe (ElfQuest, Shelf Life), Crix Lee (Girl Gamer, The Frame Rate) and Helenna Santos Levy (Girl and Boy, American Reunion) are producers, hosts, actresses and multi-hyphenate personalities who spent time and love creating their own award-winning content for film, TV and the web.
